Aug 2nd part deux - The Food Dehydrator!! =D

I am obsessed with being self-sufficient - being able to live on what we grow, throwing off the shackles and living outside of what most people think of as normal everyday living. Yay!

That is why I purchased this most grand of appliances, the Excalibur food dehydrator.


It is most lovely, is it not??


Here is Lillian with some frozen peas we got from the local food pantry (yes, we are poor and hence we make a monthly pilgrivage to the food pantry for hand outs) and some yummy string beans we harvested from the garden. Thank goodness for simple little social-programs like the food pantry (dare i say SOCIALIST?! Bring it!)
